Hole # 1

The first hole sports a greatly elevated tee that overlooks a sloping fairway. There is little room for error from the tee, and a well-placed tee shot is very important on this hole.

The first tee provides a birds-eye view of the beautiful Bermuda-419 grass. With a moderate right-to-left slope, a slightly faded tee shot is fine, but the best placement is in the center of the fairway.

A well-placed tee shot should leave an approach shot of 150-190 yards to a green that is slightly elevated. A prominent oak tree positioned at the left front corner of the green can prove deadly to an approach shot that is pulled slightly left.
The modest slope of the first green can turn what would be a par into a bogey, so be careful.
