Hole No. 3
The third hole is the first par 5 on the course, and although long-drivers certainly have an advantage on this hole, the approach shot can be dangerous due to several large oaks positioned in front of the green.
The third tee is slightly elevated and provides a good view of the fairway out to approximately 200 yards. A well placed drive should be placed down the right side of the fairway so as to provide a clear second shot - see the next picture. |

Take a close look at this shot, and it's easy to see the clump of oaks directly in front of the green. From the distance shown (approximately 230 yards) it is possible to hit the green in two, but if you are not a risk-taker, a mid-level iron is a good recommendation. A final pitch of 50-60 yards is a safe bet on this hole. |

Once you reach the green, putting is fairly simple. The green has virtually no slope and is not a difficult green to putt. If you overshoot the green, there is a small water hazard in the rear that has swallowed many golf balls. |
