Hole No. 8
The eighth hole is the longest par 5 on the course. A dog-leg right, this hole seldom affords golfers the luxury of reaching the green in less than three shots.
The eighth fairway gently rolls down then up. A well placed tee shot will probably not make it to the first hill, but will leave a moderately long second shot.

A fairway wood is the common choice for a second shot on this hole, but the tightness of the fairway can make a mid-level iron a good choice.
It is very common to have a final approach shot of less than 150 yards on this hole. The final shot will be uphill, so you should definitely select one club lower than what seems necessary.

The putting surface is not overly difficult to work with, but take care not to overshoot the green. Planted pines line the rear and right side of this green, so take care to place the approach shot well.
