Hole No. 9

The ninth hole is in many ways the signature hole at Marianna Oaks. The fountain that is the focal point of the course really comes into play here.
With a large water hazard at approximately the 270-yard point, the smart golfer either plays a gentle fade, or plays a long iron instead and lands just short of the water.

A shot placed short of the water will leave an approach shot of between 150 and 200 yards, while a long drive placed to the right of the water will leave 100-140 yards to the green. This green is relatively small, so accuracy from the fairway is important.

The ninth green sports a fairly steep slope that can interfere with plans for a par or birdie. The bunker in front of the green is shallow, but don't be fooled into thinking that it's an easy shot.
