Marianna Oaks currently offers nine holes of varying degrees of difficulty, with
an additional nine holes under construction. We are also proud to offer a lighted driving range.
The first hole is a slight dog-leg left with an elevated tee and a
water hazard on the left side of the fairway. The green is partially
blocked by an oak tree on the left, with a sand trap on the front right corner.
The third hole is a beautiful hole with a rolling fairway that
affords the possibility of reaching the green in two shots. Oak trees lining
the front of the green make a long approach shot somewhat difficult.
The fourth hole is a short par 4, with a green that is very
reachable in two shots. A slice off the tee will result a nearly impossible
second shot from underneath a majestic live oak tree just over 100 yards from
the green.
The fifth hole is a dog-leg left par 4. A misplaced tee shot on
this hole will almost surely be lost as the fairway narrows and the rough is
somewhat thick.
Don't be fooled by the apparent simplicity of the sixth hole! The
green is narrow with a modest slope, and a misplaced tee shot will leave a
potentially difficult chip shop.
The seventh hole is a beautiful par 4 that is very conducive to a
long iron shot from the tee. The sloping green can quickly add strokes to your
game, so be careful.
The fountain that is so prominent on this course becomes a
dangerous water hazard on the 9th hole. Positioned approximately 270 yards in
front of the tee, this water hazard can mean disaster unless your are able to
place the ball just right of the water. The green is guarded by prominent sand
traps.
